Home Renovation Design
This is a renovation that was needed on a couple of levels, the major one being that there was only one bathroom in the entire house. This did not bode well during flu season. Another main reason was that the wall behind the arch had been destroyed previously due to major water damage, II had still not gotten around to finishing the project and it had been over a year. As well as the fact that the room had been completely useless when we moved in, small, no electricity, and no lighting.

New Kitchen
The arch wall was knocked out, and the ceiling in both that room and that kitchen went up about 3 times! The kitchen was moved into that room and a bathroom was built by the back mudroom door. Eventually the window across from the bathroom will become french doors leading onto a nice large back porch as an easier access for the whole family to the backyard. We also plan on adding faux tin ceiling tiles to the ceiling later on down the road as well. The kitchen area also has a paper floor, which I put down, painted multiple times and then added many coats of shellac to protect it!
Bathroom
The downstairs bathroom has one metallic copper painted wall that grows onto the ceiling, the rest of the walls are turquoise. The counter top is made from a vintage manual sewing machine base, a deep turquoise vessel bowl and a wonderful sink faucet. During the summer I will add a penny floor to this room, so if you have pennies lying around that you would like to donate, please let me know!!!
